#Bloggingbuddies Week 1 Update

So today is time for the first weekly update for Bloggingbuddies. I wish I had something good today like i've lost weight and done lots of exersize but I haven't. My weight has stayed the same which is disappointing. At least I haven't put on any weight I suppose.

On the exersize front I haven't been doing very much I don't have time or money to go to a gym so the only exersize I really do at the minute is walking with Thomas in his pushchair. We have been on a couple of little walks for about an hour each time. I haven't been on the exersize bike yet so I need to start getting on that and try for once a day even if its just for 15minutes.

I found an app on my Iphone called My Fitness Pal which you can record your calories and exersize everyday.

As you can see for me to start loosing weight it says I need to be eating 1200 calories a day. I'm finding that really tough to stick to it may sound quite a lot still but the calories really don't go far.

As you can see just eating breakfast and one small snack doesn't really leave many calories for the rest of the day.
I don't really think calorie counting is for me so I'm going to try and find something else to try this week and hopefully next week I will be able to tell you I have started to loose weight.

  1. in terms of exercise, i swear by the vicky binns dance it off DVD, its what i used to do before i got pregnant and had my nice body! its only around £6 on! otherwise i just used to use youtube and you can find some really good cardio workouts that cost nothing! Even ten mins while thomas sleeps will make you feel so much better! xx

  2. Writing down your food diary is a good way to see what you're eating. I'm no nutritionist so don't believe a word I say but I believe that if you swapped your breakfast for something like porridge with semi-skimmed milk you'd not only be 'spending' less calories but you'll get more energy from it to do more exercise.
Fitness DVDs are great, I see Kerry has recommended one. I used to use a Davina, 30 min, one which was good I just got bored of it over time as you know what's coming next. Do you have any friends who use fitness DVDs as you could do a regular swap to stop you getting bored. YouTube is a great idea - I'd never thought of that.
Also, do they do any Power Pramming classes near where you live. I used to go to those and they were great - you get to exercise and baby is happy being pushed around. You also get to chat to other Mums so it's very sociable - the only trap being that you then all go and have tea and cake in the cafe afterwards!
Keep going sweetie and don't forget about the Twitter Party on the 26th Sept, 8pm where there'll be a fitness expert to answer your questions.... she has recently had a baby so she'll have some great tips. xx
