Yummy Italian Chicken And Tomato Soup

As you all know I have recently started Slimming World and have been trying out lots of new recipes from their site. Recently I have been really in to cooking soups so when I spotted this recipe I thought it sounded lovely but I decided to adapt it a little bit.
If you are a follower of Slimming World on the Extra Easy plan this soup is totally FREE, you heard me right it's free so you could have as much of this as you want.

Ingredients
1 onion chopped
2 carrots peeled and chopped
2 large skinless chicken breasts cut to strips
600g tin of chopped tomatoes
400ml chicken stock
Finely grated zest and juice of 1 lemon
Garlic, mixed herbs and chilli flakes to taste

So first things first you need to cook you chicken through if you are using a pan make sure you use fry light or else your soup wont be free and you will use up unnecessary syns. When the chicken is cooked through I then added the onions, carrots, garlic and chilli flakes. Fry for a couple of minutes.

Then I added the tomatoes, stock, mixed herbs and the zest and juice of the lemon and then bought that to the boil. Have a little taste and if like me you want a bit more of a spicy flavour just add more chilli flakes.

I thoroughly enjoyed this soup and will definitely be making this again. I hope you enjoy it too

Letters To My Son 8 Month Update

Dear Thomas

You are now 8 months old and I just can't believe how fast time is going I go back to work in a couple of weeks and you will be starting nursery properly. You have been doing a few hours at nursery and you are enjoying it. I was a bit worried because you can be quite clingy to me but you have been fine. In fact I am surprised how well you have been getting on. I think the real test for both of us will be when you do your first full day at nursery and I do my first full day at work. I will miss you like crazy and there wont be a second that goes by that I wont be thinking about you and wondering whether you are ok and having fun.

Over the last few weeks you are becoming more and more of a handful, the days that you would sit in your chair whilst mummy gets things done is long gone unless you are being fed you don't like sitting in your chair for more than 5 minutes. You pull yourself up on every sort of surface available and you have had a few bumps and tumbles but I think with you we will be having a lot more of those.
You have also started to crawl properly now although you can get around so much faster and easier I kinda miss your special little crawl I'm so glad that we have a video of it so that we don't forget it.

Bedtimes are still a trauma though you really don't take after me on that front I just don't understand why babies don't like going to sleep it's a good thing I would love more of it! Plus you are always in a much better mood after a good sleep. Maybe something to think about?

I will write to you again soon. Perhaps after I have done my first few weeks at work.

All my love forever and ever
Mummy xxx

Special K Chocolate Biscuits Moments*

Quite a while ago I was given the chance to review some new biscuits from Special K when they bought out their new Strawberry Biscuits moments and I loved them. So imagine my happiness when a box of their chocolate ones unexpectedly popped through my letter box.

These are so yummy perfect if you love your chocolate like I do and they are only 98 calories for 2 good size biscuits, definitely better than munching on about 5 normal biscuits. Plus you get the best of both worlds with this tasty snack you get your chocolate and biscuit fix without filling yourself with lots of calories which is good if like me your are trying to loose some weight.

What are you waiting for get yourself down the biscuit aisle of your local supermarket and grab yourself a box for just £1.99 and then once you are back home but the kettle on and enjoy an afternoon snack.

Spending Ban Update 3 & 4

Firstly I didn't update last weekend as I had a cold and didn't feel like doing anything never mind blogging. So today I bring you an update of the last 2 weeks. The spending ban is still going strong and the only things I have bought is my normal food shopping plus a white board for my weekly Slimming world meal plans that will be going in the kitchen and a new oven tray and frying pan they were all needed so I haven't broke my ban that way.

Yesterday I did need to do some clothes shopping to get some new clothes for when I go back to work as when I finished for my maternity leave I got rid of most things as they were all old and tired and plus my trousers wouldn't even fit me now if I still had them anyway :( I only got a few bits some from Primark which were payed for by a gift card I had left from Christmas and a couple of items from New Look, I am actually taking the trousers I got from there back as they were more expensive than I thought when I checked the receipt and I'm thinking I only want a cheap pair of trousers for now as I'm hoping it wont be long before I at the size I want to be then I can get a better pair. Good motivation right?

That is kinda how I am looking at everything now. I don't even want to buy new clothes now as I don't want to waste my money on clothes that I hope will be too big for me soon.

My BritMums Live Sponsor Is....

I am so pleased to announce my sponsor to BritMums Live is a lovely company called Tiny Toes Baby Shoes if you hadn't already guessed. Choosing A Nursery

From about mid way through my maternity leave the thought of having to find a nursery was at the back of my mind and every time I thought about it I got a horrible sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. I didn't want to leave my baby and the thought of going back to work and being without him filled me with dread.
I knew nothing about nurseries so the thought of choosing a nursery for Thomas to spend 11 hours a day 3 days a week worried me, what if I make the wrong choice?

I thought I would share with you some of the questions we asked or you should ask if the staff don't already tell you.

Opening times
Will you have enough time to get from work to picking your child up, is there a charge if you are late?

What qualifications do the staff have.
For obvious reasons you want to know the people looking after your child are qualified to do so. It may also be an idea to ask how long staff have been at the nursery for

Cost per day/ Costs for holidays
Obviously cost is a biggie when choosing a nursery but don't forget you may need to pay a little more to get a really good nursery you are happy with. The nursery we chose for Thomas was the more expensive option but we are really happy with it.
Is there a discount for holidays is there a set amount you can take?
With the first nursery we looked at you could only take 3 weeks holiday at a discounted price the rest of the time you would have to pay full price.
The nursery we chose we can have as many holidays as we want but we have to the half price retainer fees 2 weeks prior to taking the holiday. Just so they know you will be coming back.
Also it might be worth checking if you need to pay for bank holidays most nurseries will charge even though they are closed.

Will they work with you at nap times and meal times.
At the minute Thomas has 2 naps one in the morning and one in the afternoon but the Nursery will try and wean him off the morning nap if they can and get him to have a longer nap in the afternoon. Which I don't mind as I think it will be better for Thomas and it will be easy for us to follow on that routine when we are at home.
The nursery normally provides breakfast between 8-9am which Thomas will be having and then they have dinner between 11:30 and 12:30  and then a cooked meal around 3-4pm. Which means I can just give Thomas a light snack when we get home around 6:15pm which I think will suit us as I don't have to worry about making him tea and get to spend longer playing with him.

What meals will your child be eating?
It might be a good question to ask if they don't already mention, at our nursery they have meal plans displayed on the wall and all the food is prepared fresh each day which I think is important.

How do they put the children down for a nap.
The nursery is really good with this they will do whatever you do at home if I just put him down and let him settle himself they wont start rocking him to sleep. If I rock him they rock him, if I sit with him whilst he drops off they will too. Which I think is really good as they wont disrupt your routine.
It may be a good point to talk to the nursery about if your baby uses some sort of comforter when sleeping like a dummy or a blanket. Thomas has a dummy but I have told them he only uses it when he is getting tired so not to let him have it lots during the day.

Will they tell you what activities your child has been doing during the day.
Our nursery keeps files on what the children have been doing during the day and regularly take photos of your child doing the different activities (Of course if you give permission for the photos)
They also keep a record of nappies, what your child has eaten or drank and naps throughout the day.

Do you need to provide any bits and bobs for your child.
Our nursery has asked us to provide the basics such as nappies, baby wipes, milk, calpol, a change of clothes and photos of family. Simply because there are so many different brands some of which your child might have a reaction to and so on.

Procedures for different situations.
If you child is ill or has an accident whilst at nursery
which illnesses will mean your child is unable to attend nursery
If there has been a problem and somebody else needs to pick up your child

These are just a few question that you might find handy I'm sure that you will think of lots more when you get to the nursery. Know we have got a place for Thomas and we are happy about the choice I do feel better about going back work even though I know the first few days will be tough. It will be harder for me than Thomas.

Weight Loss Diary #4

It's been quite a few days since I last did a weight loss update so I thought I had better update tonight. I had my first weigh in on Tuesday and I lost 4lb I am so pleased so put that with the 2lb the week before and thats 6lb already so I am doing well. I just can't wait until I start seeing a difference myself. It is making me even more determined to stick at it now and do really well, plus I would love to start getting stickers at the weigh ins hehe. If I can get 4lb again this week then that's my half a stone already.

I am also going to try and do a bit more exercise now the weather is getting a bit better we have been housebound the last week as I haven't been able to get out with the pram. So tomorrow I am going to do a bit of shopping as I need to buy some work clothes for when I go back. I also received some new exercise pants so I am going to be testing them out doing my exercise DVDs

Vintage Rosehip Face Wash Review

Bomb Cosmetics is a new brand to me, I have never seen it in shops before and i'm pretty sure I haven't seen any blog talking about it either so I was interested to see what it would be like. I don't normally buy products that I haven't heard anything about but I was drawn to this product for a number of reasons.

Firstly how cute is the packaging? It looks lovely in my bathroom (Bit of a shallow reason)
Secondly it smells lovely obviously of Rosehip but it is a lovely fresh scent but not too strong as I don't like using strong smelling scents on my face.
Thirdly I like that it is a gel instead of a liquid so you don't really need to use a lot of it.

With this gel you only need about a grape sized amount and you just rub it on you face and then it starts to foam up. It leaves my skin feeling super soft and it is really good at getting my make up off and also does a good job of removing most of my eye make up too. I have used this lots of times now but if you look at it, it looks like I have hardly used any so I think it will last me quite a while too. For £7.99 I think this is really good value for money I would definitely recommend you try this product if you are looking for a new face wash

THX Make It Big Hot Air Styler Review

Let me introduce to you the best hair tool ever to touch my hair! I gave my hubby a list of items to choice for me for Christmas and I am absolutely over the moon he picked this. I put the Make it big hot air styler on my list after seeing Miss Budget Beautys Gift guide - for her I had been wanting the Babyliss version of this for ages but after hearing this was a good alternative and less than half the price I put this on my Christmas list.

The beauty of this is that you can give yourself an easy at home blow dry with out having to mess about with a hairdryer and barrel brush. The hot air blows through the bristles so it drys and styles your hair at the same time meaning you cut down the time it takes to do you hair (Perfect for us mums who don't get that much time to get ready anymore) If like me you wear your hair straight you don't need to dry your hair and then straighten it after as this hair styler leaves your hair looking straight. Also it adds volume to your hair so that it doesn't just look limp against your head.

The Styler can be used on wet or damp hair. I find it is easier to use on towel dried hair. I section my hair horizontally and do it in about 4 sections starting with the hair closest to the nape of your neck. I find it much easier to do small sections of hair at a time, don't use big clumps of hair at once as obviously you will have to go over it numerous amounts of time before your hair drys. When using this I curl my hair under at the ends and it is so easy to do and looks really nice. You can also use the styler to flick your hair out or curl all over. I can't wait to try curling it all over but I think I need my hair to grow a lot longer than it is first because the barrel is pretty big so I wouldn't be able to really curl my hair over it very well.

As you can see the styler has 2 different heat settings as well as a cool shot setting with helps to set your hair. The green button is for removing the barrel so that you can clean any hairs away so that it doesn't get clogged up.

The only difference between this and the Babyliss Big hair I think it that the barrel on this doesn't rotate which to be honest I don't think it really matters, this is so easy to use and it doesn't give you arm ache.

I absolutely love this, I haven't used my normal hair dryer or straighteners since I got it, in fact I've stored them away somewhere now. Another great point about this is that it's brilliant for traveling too as you don't need to take away a hair dryer and straighteners just take this in your case.

This little beauty costs just £16.50 and is exclusive to Tesco so you can purchase it here

Thomas's First Time In The Snow

If you have you checked Facebook, Twitter or Instagram recently you will know it has been snowing. I never normally get excited about snow in fact I normally hate it because it means tackling the roads in order to get work and back but this year I am actually glad we have got snow at the minute, I just hope it goes before my maternity leave finishes and then I don't want any more for the rest of the year.

So earlier on today Thomas and I got all wrapped up to go outside and see the snow. When we first went outside Thomas looked really puzzled like he was thinking "Well it doesn't normally look like this when we leave the house" I was actually surprised at how deep it was, well over ankle height and it's still falling.

We didn't stay out too long as obviously it was bitterly cold and Thomas wasn't too keen on the snow blowing in his face but we did stay out long enough to take a little photo of Thomas and I with the snow.

He wouldn't look up at the camera because of the snow in his face. I hope we have snow next year so we can build a snow man, but can we have it on when I'm not working?

Graco EVO Makes Shopping Easy For Mummy

Before the EVO came in to our lives mummy use to dread going shopping, especially when the shops were busy as my old pushchair was such a big heavy thing it was a struggle to move about and tight gaps...well they were literally a no go. With the Evo getting in and out of lifts are a doddle the turning circle with this pushchair is brilliant we can now move out of the smallest of gaps.
I know i'm asleep on most of these pics but silly mummy didn't get any when I was awake but I just can't help falling asleep when i'm all snug in my pushchair.

The basket below is brilliant for storing mummy's smaller bags the only problem like mummy has said before is that it isn't that easy to get to when I'm sitting looking at mummy but she doesn't mind as she gets to see my beautiful face which is more important. Maybe when i'm a bit older she will move me around but I don't think she is very keen on that idea. Mind you neither am I, I like being able to see my mummy when we are out it makes me feel safe plus we can talk to each other in our special way.

Daddy needed new trainers and this time we can help him look ( I say we can help but I fell asleep as I was so snug and comfy) as we can fit down these narrow aisles normally we have to wait out of the way in some shops. Which I don't like because i'm nosey I like to have a look around not today though as I was pretty tired, it's hard work being a cheeky monkey

Even Daddy doesn't mind pushing the EVO in his words "I like it. it's very move-able" Yes Daddy, yes it is. Daddy also commented on how light it was too when he was getting it out of the car.

I don't mind going shopping anymore with mummy as long as I'm in my Evo as it's comfier me and makes shopping easier for mummy.

I hope you liked my first my thoughts on my Evo I thought I had better give my opinion too seeing as thought I'm the one who has to sit in it.

Idealcases Kindle Case Review*

IdealCases is a fab website where you can design your own personalised cases for your electronic devices. You can create a new home for your Iphone, Ipad, Samsung, Kindle and more. Plus what's better is the prices are affordable too. I have been put off sites like this before especially when I was looking for a phone cover because they are just so expensive but here you can get a quality personalised plastic case for your phone from just £12.49!

I chose the Kindle case as a new home for my Kindle Touch. You can personalise the case so that it is exactly how you want it whether you want just one photo to cover the whole case or you want your photos to appear in a grid like I chose. You can also choose different grids with different amounts of photos. The background is also customizable you can choose different colours and patterns, I went with a lovely baby blue.

Your Kindle is kept in place by 4 bits of elastic so it is secure. On the opposite side is a little slot for your hand so that you can hold you case easily. I've not seen this before on a case so I think it's a really good little extra.

The back on the case is just plain black leather which is nice but I think I would prefer if you had the choice to customize the back too.

I love the case it is really sturdy and feels really good quality. This type of case retails for £29.99 and I think it will be a case that lasts.

Weight Loss Diary #3

So tonight I have finally decided to do it, I have joined Slimming world. I had been thinking about joining for a while and finally bit the bullet tonight. The group seems really nice and the lady who runs it was really nice it wasn't scary at all. It's really nice how everybody claps each other when you have lost weight, hopefully they will be clapping me next week. Plus for slimmer of the week they make a good bag up with lots of fruit and veg and you can win that, which is a really nice idea. Next week they have a couple talking who have lots over 11 stone between them! How fab is that.
Thomas come along too for a bit of moral support and all the ladies loved him, he was showing off crawling all over the place and when I called his name telling him to come back to me he just shot me a cheeky smile and crawled off! Little monkey.

I am just going to write a meal plan for this next week now and get a shopping list for Tesco so I can get some yummy food for this week. I'm surprised how much I am looking forward to it. I will definitely keep you updated. I thought I would have a treat before I start SW tomorrow and I had a Mc Donalds and it was the first bit of grease I have had it over a week and it was horrible I didn't even finish it so hopefully that memory will keep me going now.

In other news I have lost 2lb this last week just through using Skinny Sprinkles and watching what I eat woohoo I'm glad I am getting somewhere.

Skinny Sprinkles My Thoughts And Giveaway

I hope you have all read my first post on the wonderful Skinny Sprinkles well I wanted to update you on how I have been getting on with them.
I LOVE them! I will admit having them with water at first took a bit of getting use to but I then tried it with milk and I love it, it's just like having a milkshake. I know you are having a few more calories having them mixed with milk but you will still be saving on lots of calories.

I have been having about 2 drinks a day, 1 just before dinner and then 1 before my tea and they really do leave me feeling fuller and this is because they turn in to a gel like substance when they are mixed with a fluid so you really do have to be quick when you drink it. I haven't been having big portion sizes and I have also cut down on snacks a lot. Want to hear the best bit? I have lost 2lb just in the last week and I really do think these have helped I almost feel like these have weaned me off snacking, I just don't want or need to snack anymore.

I have an exciting giveaway for you today. Skinny Sprinkles have very kindly offered 3 lots of their 9 sachet trial pack so that 3 lucky winners can give them a go for themselves. I love these sachets as you can just put a couple in your bag and mix them with some water when you need them. What are you waiting for? Get entering.

Weight Loss Diary #2

Since my last update I have had 2 pretty good days, all of my meals have been healthy and I haven't been snacking which I think is definitely because of Skinny Sprinkles My only problem is the calorie counting, It just isn't for me at all the fitness pal app is telling me I should be eating 1200 calories a day but that is so hard even when you are eating healthily.

I have also started a little weight loss chat group with some fellow bloggers who are wanting to loose weight but like me were looking for friends for some motivation. So far we are all doing really well I can't wait until we can share our successes with each other.

I think I have also made my mind up to try Slimming World. After speaking to so many other people who have done really well on it I think it could be the diet for me. As I said I'm not a points counter and this diet sounds like its pretty free. So hopefully I will be starting that in a couple of weeks I have been talking to David about it and he is happy for me to go for it. I was worried about the price but it will only work out to be about £20-25 a month and when you think about it you could spend more than that on take-aways a month (Not that I would even be having take aways as they are part of my spending ban)

Spending Ban Update #2

Week 2 has now come to an end and I haven't bought anything. We went in to Barnsley on Tuesday when we were visiting David's family and I wasn't really tempted by anything although David did buy me 2 exercise DVDs and a diet book.
Wednesday on the way back to Stoke we stopped off at Meadowhall in Sheffield ans I was nearly tempted to buy a book journal from Paperchase but David come to me just in time and said " I thought you were on a ban" and then when I actually looked at it inside it wasn't as good as I thought it would be anyway.

So week 2 was easy again I think the rest of the month will be easy too if I am honest because I don't actually have any spare money. The true test will come at payday when I need to buy some work clothes but I need to make sure I only buy work clothes!

How have you been doing this week if you are doing a spending ban too?

KOKO Fresh Food Feeder Review

Just before Christmas I did a review on a couple of products from KOKO as I loved them products decided to purchase one of these feeders from them too. I had been thinking about buying one of these for a while and saw @NicolaBear987 was giving one a go I thought it might be interesting to see it Thomas would use one.

I really like the concept of these as it is an easy way to get your baby eating foods that normally they wouldn't be able to eat for a while such as grapes as you know babies would choke on them. The holes in the net part of the feeder are too small for any lumps to escape that your baby would choke on but they can still get the juices of the fruit. We tried Thomas with some chunks of apple so that he could enjoy a chew on it but with out the risk of him choking

It didn't take long for him to realise what is was for and he was soon chewing and sucking on the feeder. This will also be good for his gums as I could cool the apple down and give it him to suck and chomp on to help cool his gums down and it tastes nicer than a teething ring. I can't wait to try out different fruits with Thomas now.

Weight Loss Diary #1

As you all know I am trying to loose the rest of this pesky baby weight now, I am just sick of feeling horrible about myself, I don't feel comfortable in my clothes and I just don't like the way I am at the minute. So I think I have mentioned before I want to loose about 2st8 to be back down to my pre-pregnancy weight.
I don't want this to sound big headed or anything but I have never had to loose weight before so finding the motivation to do this is hard (and it doesn't help when you try to tempt me with KFC David!! ;) ) I just hope I can stick at it this time. I want people be like "Ohh have you lost weight Sarah" and tell me I am looking good. More importantly though I want to feel better about myself.

Today has been a good day I had a quick look at the Chantelle DVD but I think I need to keep building up on that, I did a bit today but I was out of puff so quick. The last time I did any real exercise was when David and I went to the gym and I can't even remember when the membership for that finished!

Food wise Breakfast was just a couple of Belvita biscuits as we didn't have anything proper in but I have bought some Sultana Bran now which I like. I went to Tesco and got some healthier foods. I am wanting to cut down on my bread so I have bought some pittas and tortilla wraps so I can have sandwiches with them as I find they don't leave me feeling as bloated. I also got some "good" snacks I got some Special K Cracker crisps and some of their Biscuit moments.

Before my dinner and tea I had the Skinny sprinkles with milk and I find they work better that way for me.

For dinner I made some Carrot and Coriander soup I was surprised how easy it was actually! All you need is

1 tsp vegetable oil
1 onion chopped
450g carrots sliced ( I guessed at the weight
1 Potato diced
1 tsp ground coriander
1.2lt vegetable stock (Forgot to get this so used chicken it tasted fine)
handful of fresh coriander chopped

First all you need to do it heat the oil in a pan and then add the onion as they are starting to soften add the carrot and potato and the ground coriander. After this add the stock to the pan and bring to boil. Then turn the heat down and allow to simmer for around 20minutes or until the carrots and potato has softened.

Then put it in a food processor with the fresh coriander and then whizz up until it is like a thick soup consistancy. I actually used Thomas's baby food blended but it worked perfectly.
The soup tasted lovely and with it being slightly thicker than normal soup I found it really filling I had it with 2 Ryebreads and you always need something to dip in soup. I also have 2 more batches for the Freezer to have on another day.

For tea we were meant to be having steak but it hadn't defrosted so we will be having that tomorrow. I ended up just having pasta with a bit of cheese which was actually nice just on its own, With a bit of lettuce, cucumber and peppers and then after I just had the last 2 Belvita biscuits in the pack and then a few of the cracker crisps and My fitness pal app says that I still have around 279 out of 1200 calories left.

It's still very early days but I can't wait until I see a change when I step on the scales.

Breathable Baby Cot Bumper And Blanket Review*

The Breathable Baby cot bumper was designed as a safer option than the normal bed bumper as it is made from a breathable mesh material which helps to reduce the risk of your baby breathing in Carbon Dioxide or suffocating. The cot bumper comes in two parts and is longer than most other cot bumpers. The great thing about these bumpers is that they can be adapted to fit almost any type of cot whether it has slats all the way around or is solid ended and can even be used on oval shaped cots. With the bumpers being longer than most it can also fit on Cot beds.

The bumper comes with an instruction leaflet which explains how to fit the bumpers correctly depending on which cot you have.

Here is a view of how the bumper looks on the outside of the cot as you can see it looks neat (I'm sorry about the lighting in the photos this winter lighting is doing my head in now)
The bumpers come in a choice of 5 different colours and designs to match your bedroom. Thomas has the Safari Fun design which I love as it will be great when we finally decorate his bedroom.

The next thing we have tried out is the Breathablebaby Soft Mesh Blanket. The blanket uses a unique fabric construction that ensures excess body heat escapes, to keep your baby at the right temperature and to make sure your baby doesn't overheat I will say this blanket is pretty thin so I will only be using it as a summer blanket at the minute I just use it when he has a nap and we have the heating on.
Like the bumper it is available in three different  colours and each has a little animal in the corner which is cute.

You can buy these products from the Breathable Baby website www.breathablebaby.com

Annabel Karmel's Complete Baby & Toddler Meal Planner *

Thomas is making really good progress with his weaning but recently I have started try and make more homemade meals for him instead of relying on the jars, but I was fast running out of ideas on what to make him. I also didn't really want to be making two separate meals every night for us both so I wanted to learn how to make meals that could be easily adapted to suit us both, Plus this way I would be watching what I eat more . As you know babies can't eat the exact same meals as us as our meals can be very salty for example babies can't have the same gravy as us or they can't eat foods that you make with stock cubes as they are too salty. So this books gives you ways around this. For example there is a recipe on how to make your own chicken stock.

The book is full of lots of weaning advice from what foods you can try as first foods right from baby's first tastes with basic meal ideas and then it gives you a meal plan idea for when you are first wanting to introduce foods to your baby. Then it takes you on to the second stage of weaning when your baby has tried out all the basic flavours then it gives you recipes to try out which are more like meals instead of just one flavour. Thomas is really enjoying the food I have been making him so far we have tried Cauliflower cheese and cheesy vegetable pasta just to name a couple and he has wolfed them down. After each section of the book there is an example meal plan so that you don't feel like you are just feeding your baby the same things which was one of my concerns before reading this book.

I can't wait to try out more of the recipes over the next few weeks with Thomas, I think the next recipes we will try out is a chicken casserole and then maybe chicken with a tomato sauce and then i will be able to have them with him. I'm also looking forward to the next next section of the book when Thomas moves on to stage 3 as the meals sound really yummy and I will definitely be making more for me to try with him too.
If you want to purchase this book it is available form Amazon Baby & Toddler meal planner

Cussons Mum & Me Review

I wanted to share with you 2 products Thomas and I have been using recently and thought I may as well do a blog post on them both at the same time.

Baby Emollient Bath Wash.
As you may know if you have been following my blog for a while Thomas has baby eczema although it has gone for the time being and we haven't had problems for a while I want to keep on top of it in case he does have any flare ups. So I like to do a bit of research on products I will be using on him.
This Emollient is made from mild emollients and almond oil which is great for babies with dry skin or eczema. It is also fragrance free which as you know I don't like fragranced baby products as I don't think there is any need for them.
We add it in to every bath and this product has really helped to keep Thomas's skin feeling soft. You don't need lots of it either so for the price I think it is great value for money.

Bump Relax and Unwind Sleep Mist*
I love this product, yes I know it says it is for bump but us mummies can use and enjoy it too. It is a lovely calming lavender and chamomile mist which you spray around your bed area before going to sleep and it helps to settle you off. I love to use this after a nice hot bath as something extra to get me to sleep quicker. I will definitely be recommending this to my newly pregnant friend as she will soon find out she needs all the help she can get in the sleeping department as the pregnancy goes on.
